Movie Review: Neerja

The movie is about an extraordinary girl named Neerja Bhanot, who at the age of 23 saved 329 lives. First of all, I would like to thank the casting team for choosing Sonam Kapoor for the role as she did complete and pure justice to it. About the movie, it takes us into the Pan Am flight [New Delhi-Karachi-Frankfurt-New York], letting us experience the whole incident. Neerja, a woman with limitless courage, got into the plane two days before her 24th birthday. The film takes us to the early morning of 5th September, where Neerja gets ready for the flight, setting her hair, doing her make-up, with her parents messing around her. On the contrary, they give us a picture of the very same terrorists getting ready to hijack the Pan Am 73 flight, packing their guns and grenades.

The heroine of the movie carried out the role of the heroine of the hijack, exceptionally, throughout the whole movie. The fear and that very same fear being put into bravery is excellently portrayed through the varied expressions on Sonam Kapoor's face.. The atmosphere, editing and background of the movie is all well blended in.

I thought that the songs, though, astounding were unnecessary and brings us out of the tension. Besides that, I would suggest you watch the movie and take a journey through the varied emotions that begins from Neerja's little home and lasts till she takes her last breath.
